Art that explores the intersection of nature, memory & emotion
Coastal Art & Mixed Media
Featuring the Artwork of Christine Carrig
My work explores the intersection of nature, memory, and emotion, whether through collage and acrylic paintings that capture the quiet pulse of the sea or new mixed media pieces that channel the raw rhythm of sound. Each series begins as an exploration and evolves into a dialogue between texture, movement, and light.
Current Exploration
I am calling this new series "Bringing the Thunder," and it is an exploration of musical concepts and a loving homage to my gifted nephew.
This body of work fuses mixed media, layering 0f monoprints with posterized photography to conjure a raw, visceral energy. The interplay of textures creates a charged, almost tactile atmosphere, echoing the rebellious grit of rock culture.
At its heart is Carter—my muse, my rock ’n’ roller—whose musical spirit reverberates through each piece, infusing the work with rhythm, movement, and defiant luminosity.
Monoprints with Eucalyptus Leaves
Using actual eucalyptus leaves, I create monoprints that capture the organic imprint of the tree—its texture, delicacy, and strength. Each print becomes a meditation on place and presence, translating the essence of the trees into layered compositions that feel both rooted and ephemeral. It’s my way of bringing their natural poetry to paper.
