I saunter along sandy arms, scavenging for shards of humanity. 

Amongst the pebbles and detritus of the sea, you wink & glisten.

My ears are filled with the crashing euphony of the mother. 

The air smells fresh and she has sprinkled it with salt. 

My face is chilled from her unrelenting breeze. 

Ocean spray sprinkles my face.
I lick my lips & taste the timeless essence. 

I am content. 

 

But eyes are busy searching...

Just one more nestled jewel.

 

I reach into my pocket.

As I touch your smooth pitted shape, I am satisfied.

And I keep walking.
