Keys are incredibly powerful objects, for they visually represent many metaphors in life.

Do they lock or unlock?
Do they reveal or conceal?
Do they represent a new beginning or journey’s end?

When keys are embedded into a composition with shattered glass their visual symbology invokes turmoil, danger and perhaps despair. Combine 
these elements with a smoldering and contrasting palette it will further provoke feelings of unrest. However, escape from the gloom is manifested amongst the colors themselves, for even in the sediments of darkness and amongst the mind debris a path to the light will always be found.
